The Trends

According to the research, afternoon rush hour is statistically the most dangerous time to drive and most accidents are caused by driver error: following too closely, running into fixed objects, failure to yield the right-of-way, driving too fast for conditions, failing to obey traffic signs, and inattention.

Protect Yourself

Many experts believe that distracted driving may be the root cause of a growing number of crashes every year. To protect yourself; stay alert, practice defensive driving and do not, under any circumstance, use your cell phone or smart phone while on the road.

If You’re in an Accident

Visit a doctor as soon as possible after a car accident. Even if you feel fine, less severe injuries or symptoms may turn into something more in the days following the accident. Any pain, discomfort, dizziness or numbness should be documented and be checked out by a medical professional. The longer you wait to seek medical attention, the more difficult it becomes to prove the injuries are related to the car crash. When visiting a chiropractic clinic after a car accident a chiropractors will help evaluate your personal injuries and also provide documentation necessary for a bodily injury claim. Says Dr. Beebe, “Studies have shown that the primary complication of a strain sprain is arthritis – chiropractic care will help to dampen any lasting effect of trauma.”
